TAIPEI, Taiwan, 23 December 2008. Acrosser Technology Inc. and e2c Technology Limited will launch the Acrosser “ACE” series gaming platform bundled with e2c’s Gaming Device Manager middleware, providing gaming developers with an all-in-one, gaming approved platform complete with software API which interfaces to all gaming peripherals. This new “Game Ready Platform” concept will allow gaming machine manufacturers to significantly reduce cost and development effort for new platforms and games concepts.
The Acrosser gaming platform, combined with e2c’s GDM, presents the application developer with a simple and coherent API which takes care of all complex device management functions, both on the Acrosser gaming board and all connected gaming peripherals. As GDM provides wide support for all major peripheral manufacturers and device protocols, selecting and adding peripherals, such as note validators, is a simple task. The Acrosser Gaming platform can now quickly be combined with all the industry standard peripherals, offering reduced time to market and improved system reliability.
With GDM on the Acrosser gaming platform, running an application on any machine requires no detailed knowledge of device protocols. Our customers benefit considerably from the built-in device support within GDM. In addition, the developer version of GDM includes powerful diagnostics utilities for quickly diagnosing issued during integration. The GDM runtime client also provides detailed event logging and diagnostics which are valuable for machine operation.

In addition, Acrosser will be demonstrating their extensive range of fanless platform solutions for the gaming market in conjunction with e2c’s range of USB gaming IO control solutions for the unregulated market.
