SD-WAN (Software-Defined Wide Area Networking) simplifies the management and operation of wide area networks (WANs) using software and cloud-based technologies. It creates a virtual overlay network on top of the existing WAN infrastructure, enabling centralized management and control of the entire network. SD-WAN leverages multiple network paths and dynamically routes traffic based on application needs, improving network performance and reliability. It also provides enhanced security features such as firewalling, encryption, and VPN connectivity. Overall, SD-WAN provides a flexible and scalable solution for organizations looking to improve their WAN infrastructure. |
